Juice Cleansing in Fall

For me the turning of the seasons is always a time to both celebrate and reflect. I recently found myself pondering my favorite memories and moments of the summer and then looking forward to what the coming months will bring. I like to ask myself about my intentions for the coming months and use the solstice and equinox dates like some may use New Year’s; as a distinct marker of the constant movement of time and as a point to make adjustments to my diet and lifestyle.

Fall in particular is a great time for a cleanse. As the weather transitions from the light and warm days of summer to the cool crisp days of Fall we begin to gravitate towards warmer more comforting foods. As this natural tendency occurs I invite you to take a minute to think about your diet over the past few months. How do you feel? What would you like to get rid of? What should you eat more of? It is a constant practice to be healthy, mindful and balanced. Doing a cleanse can sometimes provide that distinct point to which you can invite change. It allows you to get out of your habits and do something different and thus move forward in a new healthier way.
